Eid-el-Kabir: Oyo Turaki Adinni, Mogaji Adanla Greets Muslims, urges prayer for Makinde’s administration
The Turaki Adini of Oyo state & Wakil Faido Tijaniyah of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta states, Engr Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem Mogaji Adanla has felicitated with his Muslim brethren on the occasion of another Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Adanla, who equally extended greetings to the Chief imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Agbotomokekere, members of Tijjaniyah and other religious leaders in Oyo state, said the special season is an opportunity to offer special prayers for the Makinde’s administration, Oyo state and the nation.
He noted that the sanctity and tradition of gathering together in prayers and celebrations is one of the cardinal templates of love and commitment to the principles of Islam.
In his congratulatory message on Saturday, the Turaki Adinni said Eid-el-kabir is the time to demonstrate the virtues of peace, love, sacrifice and tolerance that are taught by the Prophet Mohammed.
While admonishing religious leaders to use their positions to advocate for peace and unity across the country, Adanla noted that religious tolerance is a panacea for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
He urged the Muslim faithful to keep upholding the tenet of Islam in their endeavor.
He said, “I join our Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe in celebrating Eid-El-Kabir.
“It is a special season for sober reflection and spiritual rebirth. Let us embrace the teachings of the holy Qu’ran, and exemplary life of the prophet Mohammed.
“Let’s use the special season to pray for the administration of His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, Oyo state and Nigeria.
“May Allah accept it as an act of Iba’dah.”
