Dethroned Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero finally breaks silence 

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, has broken his silence following his recent dethronement. 

Emphasizing the supremacy of law, the Emir urged the people of Kano to maintain peace and order while the legal processes unfold.

Speaking from the mini-palace where he has resided since his return to Kano, the Emir expressed his unwavering belief in justice. “I call on the people to remain law-abiding while awaiting outcome of the legal process on this tussle,” he said, addressing the public in Hausa.

The dethroned Emir highlighted the importance of Kano in the broader context of Nigeria, stressing that the state’s stability is crucial for the entire nation. “Kano is a very influential state in Nigeria. Whatever affects Kano affects Nigeria. May peace reign in Kano,” he stated.

In his remarks, Alhaji Bayero also called upon the authorities to ensure fairness in the ongoing legal proceedings. “We call on the authority to do justice in this matter. We pray for Allah to bless Kano with responsible and just leaders. Justice is the way to go on every issue. There will be justice. Nobody is above law,” he asserted.

The former Emir expressed gratitude towards those who have shown support and concern during this tumultuous period. 

He reiterated his commitment to accepting the outcome of the legal process, underscoring his dedication to the rule of law. 

“We will accept whatever the law says. I appreciate all the people who have shown concern. As I said, justice will take its course. We will keep on praying for peace in Kano State. May Allah the Almighty protect us.”
