Ramadan: SA Islamic Affairs, Abdrasheed extends greetings to Gov Makinde, Deputy, Aare Musulumi, Chief Imam Ibadan, other Muslim ummah

Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdrasheed Abdul-Azeez, has extended his warm greetings to Governor Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal on the commencement of the month of Ramadan 1445.
Imam Abdul Rasheed, who equally felicitated with the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta, Alhaji Dawud Akinola; Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Abubakar Agbotomokere as well as the Muslim ummah in Oyo state, described the Holy month as a month of blessing and forgiveness.
He thanked Almighty Allah for making the Muslims faithful to witness the beginning of the Holy Month, emphasizing the importance of love, charity, fairness and closeness to their creator to make the world a better place for all to live.
Governor Makinde’s aide reiterated that the Crescent of Ramadan 1445/2024 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia today, calling for increased prayer for the country amidst the economic hardship.
He said: I felicitate with the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Eng Oluwaseyi Makinde, Oyo Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal; Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta, Alhaji Dawud Akinola; Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Abubakar Agbotomokere and the entire Muslim ummah in Oyo state on the commencement of the month of Ramadan 1445.
“ This is a period to uphold the virtues of love and compassion and indeed a time to imbibe good neighborliness and extend a helping hand to the needy in our environment amidst the country economic hardship.
May pray Allah give us the opportunity to witness the end of the Holy Month and accept it as an act of Iba’dah.”
