PHOTOS: Four Oyo lawmakers in Ogbomoso congratulate Oba Ghandi Olaoye 

The Oyo lawmakers from Ogbomoso zone, have congratulated the new Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III over his coronation.

The four lawmakers, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, representing Ogbomoso South, Hon. Ogundele Johnson Akintola, representing Oriire; Hon. Bisi Oluranti Oyewo-micheal – Ogbomoso North and Abideen Adéòye – Ogo-Oluwa /Surulere state constituency, described the appointment as a blessing to pure and unadulterated monarchy in Yorubaland, urging his contenders to cooperate with the Godly chosen to move Ogbomoso forward.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, the lawmakers urged the monarch to deploy his wealth of experience and use his connection for the development of Ogbomoso.

They commended the Governor Seyi Makinde-led Oyo state government for allowing the will of people and choice of kingmakers to prevail in the selection process.

The statement reads: “We felicitate and congratulate the new Soun of Ogbomoso, His Royal Majesty, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Labour, on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers. We have a strong hope that his enthronement will be a blessing to us and enhance a rapid growth of Ogbomoso land. 

“Indeed, this official presentation by the Governor to His Royal Majesty marks a historic milestone for our people, signifying a momentous accomplishment and a beacon of leadership in our quest for a united Ogbomosho Kingdom.

“Equally, commend Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the kingmakers for making the right choice. God will strengthen the new king to pilot the affairs of the ancient city.”
