BREAKING: Afijio Monarchs endorse PDP chairmanship candidate, Femi Emmanuel Aikomo

Royal fathers in Afijio local government have endorsed the chairmanship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Femi Emmanuel Aikomo and also gave him their blessings towards ahead of the 2024 local government election. 

MOUTHPIECE NGR recall that Hon Femi Emmanuel Aikomo on Friday was picked as the consensus candidate of the People Democratic Party for the position of Chairman in Afijio Local Government. 

However, in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, the Onifiditi of Fiditi, Oba Oyelere Sakirudeen Oyewole, who spoke on behalf of monarchs and Chiefs in Afijio Local Government, commended the process that produced Femi Aikomo as the consensus candidate. 

He added that the process was credible. 

“Firstly, I will like to commend the leadership of the pacesetter state, our Son, Governor Engr Seyi Makinde for maintaining peace and progress across Oyo state. 

“We, Monarchs and Chiefs are politicians but we are fathers to many and we must be there for equity, fairness and justice. 

“Therefore on behalf of the monarchs, I endorse Femi Aikomo, he is a well-known son of this land and he has done many things for the development of the local government”.
