JUST IN: Irepo LG Chairman, Joel Oyetunji receives new Jeep from Makinde, thanks Bayo Lawal for support 

The Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Pastor Joel Oyetunji, has expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, Seyi Makinde for giving him an official car. 

Joel also expressed his gratitude to Oyo deputy governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal for his support.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that the official car was also given to other chairmen during the week by His Excellency, Seyi Makinde. 

In his appreciation message, Pastor Joel described Governor Makinde as a leader who understands the needs of the people and knows how to meet them.

He said: “I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, the governor of the people, for providing me with an official car.”

“This official vehicle will help me perform my obligations as the head of the local government much more efficiently.

“May God continue to Bless His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Governor of the People.”

“I need to also appreciate my leader and father, the deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal for his support. 

“I’ll forever be grateful to him”, he said.

Recall that Joel immediately assumed the position of acting chairman before he was finally sworn-in following the removal of Mr. Lateef Sulaiman Adediran over allegations of diversion of public funds meant for the purchase of Toyota Camry 2016 model. 

Report said he also purchased Lexus for his office without approval and also purchased substandard Toyota Corolla for the office of the Head of Local Government Administration.

Adediran was also indicted by the Office of the Auditor-General for Local Government in the State among others.

Receiving the chairman at the residence of DG were wife of Oyo Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal; former auditor general of Oyo St, Mr illias Adewola; SG Ayoola; Hon. Dauda Adam; Mrs Nike Olarinde -Aderibigbe; Olori Joke Adegbayibi; Mrs Ronke Bello among others.
