Oyo state NNPP and its cohorts lack “locus  standi” to expel me— Adedoja fires back

The New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency in the February 25 elections, Princess Aderonke Adedoja has dismissed her expulsion by the NNPP exco of the party as ineffective and effort in futility.

Adedoja, in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, described the vicious threats by those she referred as “some mischievous few people” who ganged up to expel her as a non futile threats like a pointless arrow with no powers to hit its target.

While noting that Oyo state NNPP and its cohorts lack “locus  standi” to expel her, she added that the resolve of the state working committee and its sponsors are null and void.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that her reaction is coming few days after a statement circulated on social media that Mrs Adedoja and other Reps candidates of the party were suspended for alleged of anti-party activities, disseminating misleading information, and using party names to dupe the public.

However, in her lengthy reaction, AdedojaI said, “I have not committed any grave offence or breached any part of the party constitution to warrant expulsion.”

She also asserted that she did not collect a “sau” from anybody nor party to defray her election expenses, stressing that every single kobo she spent came directly from her hard earned money.

The statement reads in part: “My attention has just been drawn to the vicious threats by some mischievous few people who ganged up to expel me from the party. I could have waved off their threats with levity because I’m always responding to projects -define  approach on issues not futile threats like a pointless arrow with no powers to hit its target but I only respond to this to put the record straight as democracy offers our rights of reply.

“Foremost, It is to be set on record that during, or prior to my Election Day, my full attention was mainly focused on how I would emerge victorious at the end, hence, could not have engaged in any anti-party that could have eclipsed that noble intention.

“I also make bold to assert that I did not collect a “sau” from anybody nor  party to defray my election expenses, every single kobo I spent came directly from my hard earned money. I was therefore taken aback that some elements who apparently wanted to soil my reputation came out with a mendacious statement that I’ve been expelled from the party I co-labored for its existence in Oyo state. Therefore, the resolve of the state working committee and its sponsors are null and void. I have not committed any grave offence or breached any part of the party constitution to warrant expulsion.

“Needless to add that, right from the time of my campaigns, when some people I suspected to have been sponsored by my own party chieftain orchestrated an attack on my team, I began to suspect “a hand of Saul” in the whole saga but I confronted my fears with cold passivism.

“The long history of the bitter hatred I got from some notable  members of the party( NNPP)started from my stringent call for accountability and transparency in the way monies  disbursed from the party  headquarters were  spent in the State,  they have till now swept this under the carpet.

“Ironically, people that accuse me of anti-party were the real people that sold away our party for their own greed and avarice  and hanged our fates as contestants in the last  elections. I so far refrained myself to join issues with them because of my reputation which I’ve built over the years, but , henceforth, I won’t hesitate to be bawling out  their nefarious activities that culminated in the NNPP ‘s woeful performance, next time they make an attempt to throw stones on my glasshouse.”
