Oyo deputy gov delivers polling unit for Makinde 

The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal has delivered his polling unit for Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Lawal, who is running with the governor for a second term in office, win his Polling Unit 4, Ward 6, Alafiatayo, Kishi, Irepo LG, with 198 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to INEC, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate was able to get 125 votes.

Mr Lawal, who arrived at his polling unit in company with his wife, Ajibola Lawal, at precisely 9:36 am, had earlier commended the process of the election, stating that everyone appeared to be in good spirits and that voters were turning out in large numbers to cast their votes for their preferred choice. 

He described the process as generally peaceful and declared that Governor Makinde would be re-elected, having traversed the length and breadth of the state during the campaign and felt the pulse of the voters.
