Ex-Oyo CoS urges dissolution of APC State Working Committee 

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Professor Gbade Ojo has asked the National Working Committee of the party to as a matter of urgency dissolve the state working committee of the party.

Gbade, a former Chief of Staff to late Governor Abiola Ajimobi made the call on Tuesday while speaking on Fresh FM Ibadan, with Mayor Isaac Brown.

He posited that the Isaac Omodewu led state executives led the former ruling party to it worst election in the history of state.

The political scientist added that the consequences of the ‘Jagba’ syndrome was what played out last Saturday as the gubernatorial candidate of the party lost woefully to the incumbent, governor Seyi Makinde.

He urged the leadership of the party at the national level to constitute caretaker committee that will see to the affairs of the party before a proper Congress would be conducted.

Gbade however said with the introduction of BVAS in the electoral system, the era of election rigging, manipulation and thuggery are over noting that it’s only a popular candidate that will thrive under this new technology.

Recall that the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engineer Seyi Makinde defeated Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress in 31 out of the 33 local governments in the state.
