VIDEO: Oyo Deputy Gov attends Arimiyahu’s fidau prayer in Kishi 

Oyo deputy governor, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal on Monday joined  other eminent indigenes and Muslim clerics in Kishi, Irepo local government to observe the third day fidau prayer for late Islamic Scholar,  Alhaji Arimiyahu Kewujina, a member of league Imams and Alfas in Oke-ogun, who died  last  Saturday.

Lawal, who was received by the league of Imams and Alfas as well as the deceased’s family, described Arimiyahu’s death as unfortunate and huge loss to the entire Muslim community in Oke Ogun Zone.

He said his death was a “tremendous loss” to  him, sons and daughters of Kishiland, adding that he was deeply touched by the death of such a dedicated pious Muslim who committed his life to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity in general.

He prayed for the repose of his soul and equally asked Allah to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

The highpoint of the event was donation of Islamic items by the deputy governor which include, AL-QUR’AN, QOIDAT, KETTLES, TESBIU, MATS, CASH among others to Imams of various mosques.

Also, special prayers were said for the re-election campaigns of Governor Seyi Makinde and his running mate, Bayo Lawal, who was praised by clerics at the fidau prayer for using his resources to spread Islam throughout the state.

The deputy governor was accompanied by Irepo Cordinator for Seyi Makinde’s re-election, Alhaji T.T; PDP Chieftain, Alhaji J.S Amodu; Otunba Yomi Ojo; SSA to Oyo Deputy Governor on Politics, Yusuf Ajagbe and SSA to Oyo Deputy Governor on Projects Alhaji Ayinde Ogede. 

Also in the entourage include SSA to Oyo Deputy Governor on Domestic, Badmos Adesola, Irepo PDP Chairman, party members including Mutiu Yusuf, Babajide among others.
