NBTE accredits Oke-Ogun Poly new courses as Makinde lauded for success achieved under Onijo-led governing council

Earlier this year, the NBTE accreditation team visited The Okeogun Polytechnic for accreditation.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that that the visitation was in a bid to finalise accreditation process as initiated since 2014 during Abiola Ajimobi-led administration after the institution got autonomy from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. Recalled that in 2018, few ND courses were accredited.

Meanwhile, on 9th january 2023, during NBTE’s team visitation, 14 National Diploma courses and 15 Higher National Diploma were presented for accreditation.

The exercise, which took the accreditation team three days for thorough inspection, examination and indepth analysis of all personnel, materials and resources available for the accreditation.

At the plenary session of the programme, the Chairman, TOPS Governing Council, Barr S. A. Lateef Onijo commended the team for their enormous display of expertise, praying for their safety and success in the exercise.

Barrister Onijo further appreciated H.E Governor Seyi Makinde for his responsive attention he always give to the TOPS in times of their needs.

On his part, the Royal Highness Oba (Surv.) Khalid Olabisi Oyeniyi Oyedepo III, ably represented by The High Chief AbdRasheed Adegoke, The Bagii of Saki, equally thanked the NBTE team, seeking more support for Saki community as TOPS remains the only tertiary institution in the area.

Conclusively, the Council Chairman, Barr. Onijo thanked the team for their indulgence and sought their cooperation.

In their response, The leader of the team presented their areas of observations and encouraged the council chairman to put more efforts in standardising the institution.

One month after, the accreditation team released its results with all courses presented by the institution were approved and accredited.

When speaking on a telephone conversation Barr. Onijo glorified the Almighty God for the successful completion of the exercise, adding that he owes the success of the exercise to governor Seyi Makinde.

He also promised to put more effort in ensuring that the school is taken to its greater and enviable height.

He further appealed to general public to take note of the development, asking parents to enrol their wards in TOPS as more courses have been introduced to the school.
