Bayo Lawal, wife vote in Kishi, commend peaceful atmosphere

Oyo Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal and his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, have cast their votes in the presidential and National Assembly elections holding across the Nigeria.

Lawal and his wife, who both voted at Polling Unit 4, ward 6, Irepo Local Government Area were warmly received at the unit by his director of Protocol, Olalekan Peter Olawale.

The deputy governor and his wife arrived at the unit at 9:56a.m; got successfully verified by the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) at 9:58 a.m. and voted at 10am.

Speaking with newsmen after casting his vote, Chief Lawal  said he was impressed with the conduct of the exercise at the unit saying that the process is fast since accreditation and voting were done simultaneously.

He commended the peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the exercise and urged residents to maintain the peace, while enjoining them to remain patient to enable them to vote within the stipulated time frame.
