Campaign: Makinde’s Aide, Ige Supports PDP Candidates with Colourful Billboards

Ahead of the upcoming general elections slated for February 25 and March 11, 2023, the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige has supported some candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with customized billboards.

The colourful billboards which were conspicuously mounted on borehole water projects he had sunk in some strategic communites within the Ibadan South East Local Government area featured the incumbent Governor Seyi Makinde who is also the party’s gubernatorial candidate and his deputy, Barr. Bayo Lawal.

Others include Mogaji Joseph Tegbe who is the Oyo South Senatorial District candidate; Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin candidate for Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East Federal Constituency, Hon Yinka Omikunle candidate for Ibadan South II House of Assembly and Hon. Akande Opeyemi Modiu, candidate for Ibadan South East 1 respectively.

Hon Ige, a close ally of the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and grassroot politician well known for promotion of good governance from when he was the council Chairman said he supported the candidates with the billboards with a view to sensitizing and promoting the party’s candidates as the best among all the candidates that are contesting for various positions that the electorates should cast their votes for in the fast approaching general elections.

About 25 communities benefited from the boreholes projects sunk by Hon. Akeem Ige. Among them are C.A.C, Oke Agbara, Eyin Grammar, Odo-Oba, Owolemi, Ojikutu, Owode and Academy area all within the Ibadan South East Local Government area.

Residents of the communities where the borehole projects were sunk have vowed to reciprocate the gesture by voting massively for all the aforementioned PDP candidates during the election.
