BREAKING: PDP BoT chairman, Walid Jibrin resigns

Sen. Walid Jibrin, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) board chairman, has resigned from his position. 

At the National Executive Council meeting that is currently taking place in Abuja, he made this disclosure. 

Adolphus Wabara (South East), the former Senate President, has been elected the party’s acting chairman, according to a statement obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR earlier today. 

Jibrin, who only has a few months left in office, had expressed dissatisfaction with the party hierarchy after fellow northerner Atiku Abubakar emerged as the front-runner.
