VIDEO/PHOTOS: Oyo Acting Governor, Otunba Seye, Others Storm Ogun for 17th Ilese Ijebu Day

The acting Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Adebayo Abdul-raheem Lawal on Saturday stormed Ilesa Ijebu to celebrate the reunion of all sons and daughters of the land in Ogun state. 

Lawal, who was in company of Governor Seyi Makinde’s notable allies including Otunba Seye Famojuro, Serving Representatives in Oyo state, Commissioners, Special Advisers, was welcomed by mammoth crowd amidst resounding ovation. 

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that the week-long event features celebration of culture and tradition of the ancient town including business and economic seminar, marathon race, beauty pageant, cultural display, Street carnival, foot ball competition and project commissioning.

The grand finale of the event was held at Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese Ijebu, and had in attendance Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, ably represented by Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo; Former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; Eminent Royal Fathers across all walks of Ogun State and numerous political office holders.

While speaking, the Acting Governor, Bayo Lawal assured the gathering of Governor Seyi Makinde’s support for the development of the town

He said: “Governor Seyi Makinde will give you support and encouragement anytime you are working towards the development of Ilese town. 

Earlier in his remarks, the representative of Governor Dapo Abiodun, Barrister Ogunbanwo announced that the state Executive council has approved the construction of Ijebu Ode-Ilese-Ijebu Mushin road and work will commence any moment from now. 

Oyinlola reiterated on the need for indigenes to contribute their quota to the development of their respective town, saying that government can not do it alone. 

In entourage include Oyo House of Representative member, Abass Agboworin;  Commissioner for Works, Professor Daud Sangodoyin; Commissioner for Environment, Abiodun Oni; Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, Akeem Ademola Ige; Special Adviser on legislative matters, Adejumo Ademola. 

Others are Special Adviser on Labor, Hon. Titlola Sodo, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi, Chairman RUWASSA, Engineer Omirinde, Chairman Civil Service Commission, Aderibigbe, Double Tee, and host of others.
