Thugs attack Gov. Oyetola’s wife convoy, injure security aides 

The convoy of the wife of Osun State governor, Kafayat Oyetola, on Friday, came under attack reportedly by political thugs, injuring some security aides attached to the First Lady.

As suspected political thugs rushed on the convoy late Friday evening, MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that certain security personnel within the convoy suffered varied degrees of injuries. 

The incident reportedly happened at around 8 PM when the governor’s convoy was driving through Owode-Ede market. 

“The thugs who were already in the area started to throw stones at the convoy as it was passing through the market,” a witness claimed. 

“A truck suddenly blocked the lane that the convoy was passing. Attackers engaged the caravan.

Some of the security operatives sustain injuries because one one them was shouting that we have been hit.

“They broke the vehicles’ windshields. The act sparked fear among the neighborhood. It is extremely regrettable. 

Iluyomade Oluwatumise, a First Lady’s assistant, confirmed the occurrence when contacted. 

She withheld information regarding the number of injured operatives, nevertheless. 

“All I can tell you is that no lives were lost in the tragedy”.

“I’m not sure how many security personnel were hurt, but some of them who were affiliated to the convoy suffered various degrees of damage”, she stated.
