NSCDC destroys 300 trucks, 50 illegal refineries, arrests 200 suspects

Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the Commandant-General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), has said that the corps has destroyed 50 illegal refineries, recovered 300 trucks and arrested 200 suspects within one year.

While speaking in Abuja, the country’s capital, on Friday during a strategic meeting with commandant and heads of anti-vandal units in the country, he expressed that the NSCDC is determined to reverse the trend in every part of the country.

According to him, “Oil theft and illegal bunkering are on the rise, but we are on it; that is why we scheduled the meeting to proffer solutions to the menace.”

The Commandant-General explained that the management had commenced discreet investigation into the activities of anti-vandal squads across the States, with a view to curbing all scrupulous elements in the country.
