BREAKING: Councillors reinstate sacked Ogbomoso North House leader

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that members of the legislative council in Ogbomoso North have resolved to reinstate their ousted leader, Honourable Olasunkanmi Alabi.

Alabi was impeached last week on the grounds of incompetence, theft, betrayal of trust, and regular tardiness.

The motion of his impeachment was made during the council’s plenary session by Hon. Niyi Oyeniran and seconded by Hon. Olutade Gabriel.

The house then later pronounced Hon. Olakunle Popoola of the Sabo Taraa ward as the new leader of the house and immediately escaped with the mace.

On Wednesday, a source privy to the House emergency sitting told MOUTHPIECE NGR that the councilors are currently meeting in the Ogbomoso North Conference Hall to reinstate the sacked House leader.

It was gathered that the development was the result of several interventions by PDP leaders in the zone, particularly Hon. Segun Ebenezer Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde.

The source said some leaders including the Councillors had met with the Chief of Staff yesterday in ibadan.

The house sitting is still going on as of the time this report was filled out.

Details soon…..
