Atiku/Wike reconciliation talks postponed

The reconciliation talks between the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike may have been postponed.

Atiku, accompanied by the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu; former Vice President Namadi Sambo and Delta Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, among other PDP chieftains, were in Yola to receive some defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

As the PDP leader in the state, Fintiri was activity engaged with programme of activities leading to the reception of the APC defectors.

On the other hand, Governor Wike was also said to be engaged with activities lined up to mark the 74th birthday of former Rivers Governor Peter Odili in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The Wike team is being led by a former Ondo Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

The source, who spoke under a condition of anonymity, however said the two teams was yet to decide on a new date for the reconciliation talks.
