Work hard, make sure we win Oorelope LG, Igboho— Oyo Dep. Governor charges Councillors 

The ten councilors in Oorelope local government have described Barrister Bayo Lawal as unifier whose appointment as Deputy Governor and running mate to Governor Seyi Makinde will further foster unity and cohesion in Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope federal constituency.

The councillors from the ten wards in Oorelope Local Government disclosed this on Friday while congratulating the Deputy Governor on his recent appointment.

They include Hon Adekiitan Lateef Aderoju, ward one, leader of the House, Hon Muideen Adedigba, Hon Taofeeq Omonigbeyin word 10, Hon Adewuni Abdul Akeem adewale, ward 2, Adewale Abdul Waheed ward 3, Muhibi Arimiyahu ward 8, Semiu Tunde ward 5, Obe Ojenpanle ward 9, Popoola Kazeem ward 6.

In his opening remarks, the leader of the House, Honourable Lateef said the appointment of Aare Baamofin of Kishiland has erased the pain and loss of the Deputy Governor’s slot which Igboho had.

He noted that Lawal has the political will and network that will build more bridges among all interest groups in Oke Ogun and Oyo North at large. He added that Igboho was under Irepo local government in the past before Oorelope and Olorunsogo local governments were carved out.

In his address, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal described the visit as unique and strategic as he charged them work hard and make sure that PDP win in 2023 election. 

He urged the councillors and good people of Igboho to see his position as theirs. 

He harped on the need to rally support for the reelection of Governor Seyi Makinde in the 2023 gubernatorial election adding that that’s the only way in which their political future can be sustained.
