Lanlehin commends APC Oyo zone for organisational acumen, unflinching loyalty

In continuation of its public engagements with stakeholders within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the train of the Senator Olufemi Lanlehin-led Reconciliation Committee birthed in Oyo zone on Tuesday, 12 July, 2022.

Held at the party’s Oyo Central Senatorial District Office, Alagbon, on the Oyo-Iseyin Road, the meeting attracted all major stakeholders in the Federal Constituency, with those unavoidably absent adequately represented.

Chairman of the Oyo State APC Reconciliation Committee, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan) in his opening remarks appreciated the organisational acumen of the zone, and equally commended their unflinching loyalty to the party, and commitment to the success of its candidates in the coming general elections.

Lanlehin, who reiterated the readiness of the party and its governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, to act speedily on whatever suggestions put forward in a bid to mend fences, assured all those aggrieved that his Committee would do its best to assuage their fears.

At the meeting, speakers from Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West and Afijio Local Government Areas which make up the zone, gave account of happenings in their councils, and also put forward valuable suggestions the party can work with to deliver Oyo zone to the APC come 2023.

Speakers which included Hon. Ademola Adelowo and Hon. Oyebola Oyelakin (Atiba), Hon. Ogundijo Ogundiran and Mrs. Ibidun Owolabi (Afijio), Alh. Mudasiru Ajeigbe and Hon. Bisi Oladeji (Oyo West), also had Otunba Ayodele Amuda, a former chairman, Oyo East Local Government intimating the Committee of the reconciliation template adopted in his local government. He consequently suggested that the party adopts same at the state level, for wholesale reconciliation.

A prominent feature at the meeting was the commendations passed on a leader of the party from the zone, Engr. Idris Adeoye, for his laudable contributions, and for particularly reaching out to members in the spirit of reconciliation. 

Notable leaders of the APC in Oyo zone present at the meeting included Alh. Y.B. Adeoye, Alh. Sule Olatundun, Elder Elegbede, Baba C.A. Ajibade, Alh. Kazeem Omo-Olomo, Alh. Mudasiru Yusuff, Mr. A.R. Babalola, Mr. S.A. Ojedele, Alh. Babatunde Isiaka, Hon. Ayobami Adejumo, Hon. Tayo Adeagbo, Mr. Bada Folorunso and Mr. Michael Awolola.

Also present were Alh. Raimi Adeniyi, Mr. Gani Yusuff, Mr. Olohunlowo Layiwola, Mr. Adebayo Isiaka, Chief Ayo Yusuff, Mr. Sunday Olakojo, Mr. Azeez Oyelakin, Mr. Hammed Salaam, Alh. Rasaq Ajisope, Alh. Rasaq Ajibike, Alh. Hammed Muritala, Mrs. M.D. Adebayo, Mrs. Adebisi Ayo-Saka, Mr. Ganiyu Baoku, Hon. Oye Alamu, Mr. Bamidele Ajani, Alh. Remi Oladipupo and Otunba Ola Folarin.

Members of the Reconciliation Committee present were Chief Kehinde Balogun, Pastor Wale Adepoju, Baba E.O. Olaoye, Alh. Tajudeen Olanite, Alh. Akin Akande, Chief (Mrs.) Funke Olayanju, Dr. (Mrs.) Adepeju Esan and Comrade Ibrahim Bolomope. 

Other Committee members on the train included Hon. Abass Akande, Hon. Wahab Oguntayo, Chief Lanre Oke, Pastor Akin Oke, Pa Suara Ogunyemi, Alh. Kareem Adebayo, Alh. Ayinla Kakako and Hon. Gaphar Ojetola.
