The father of the deceased, identified simply as Mr Anthony, had blamed the officials of the school, for being reckless and negligent, hence the death of his son.

Commissioner for Education in Lagos State, Mrs Folashade Adefisayo has via a statement said the school will remain shut, for necessary investigation into its operations and procedures, as well as its compliance with schools’ safety standards and guidelines.

She revealed that the ministry had gathered that the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School, Ogba, has not concluded its registration and therefore, has no approval too run the school.

“The Ministry is concerned about the safety of the pupils, hence the need for intervention,” she said.
