IMPEACHMENT: Panel summons Olaniyan
MOUTHPIECE NGR exclusively gathered that the 7-man impeachment panel inaugurated on Thursday by Oyo State Chief Justice, Munta Abimbola has summoned the embattled deputy governor of Oyo State, Rauf Olaniyan.
Olaniyan was accused of gross misconduct, abuse of office, financial recklessness, abandonment of office and official duties, and insubordination.
It was learnt that the panel in the wee hour of today served Olaniyan letter, asking him to appear before its members.
Sources privy to information disclosed that the letter was delivered to him at exactly 9:45 am as he was asked to face the panel.
The 7-man panel include Chief Kayode Molade (Chairman), Chief Lawal Adekunle Dauda, Chief Mrs Wuraola Adepoju, Arc Adebisi Soyombo.
Others are Alhaji Tirmisiyu Akewusola Badmus, Princes Olanike Olusegun, Rev Patrick Ademola Akinjo
As at the time of filing this report, it is not clear if Olaniyan had honored the invitation.
