I have known Oyo Deputy Governor to be a devoted Muslim— Baagi of Saki

Former Secretary to Oyo State Government and Baagi of Saki, Alhaji Adegoke Abdur- Rasheed has described Barrister Bayo Lawal as a true Muslim who upholds the norms and values of Islam.

He made this disclosure on Wednesday while paying a courtesy call to the Deputy Governor at his office in Agodi Secretariat, on his recent appointment.

Abdur-Rasheed, who is also the chairman of kingmakers, said he has known Oyo Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal to be a good believer and devoted Muslim for quite a long time.

According to him, Bayo Lawal took him and other Muslims on a tour to the mosque he was building at Housing Corporation during the last Ramadan.

He maintained that the Deputy Governor is not a man that advertises his religion, advising Oyo citizens not to be religious-bias for the progress of the country.

The Baagi of Gbagi further solicited the support of the Deputy Governor on Shaki United Club for a good outing and pace like Oyo Housing Corporation Football club under his supervision.
