Buhari may be in blood covenant with his appointees – Shehu Sani

A former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari over his inability to dismiss his appointees who have failed.

The former Kaduna Central Senator has suggested that the Nigerian leader may have a blood covenant with some of his political appointees.

He suggested that nothing else can better describe the manner the president has refused to dismiss his appointees who have failed in his government.

The sociopolitical commentator has via a tweet, revealed that Buhari’s refusal to sack the appointees was at the cost of his reputation and the fate of the country.

“The President is weak when it comes to sacking his appointees who have failed his Government and the nation at large.

“He retains them, and is bonded to them like a blood covenant, at the cost of his reputation and the fate of the nation,” he tweeted.
