2023: Ex-Accord Assembly candidate congratulates Oyo Dep. Governor, pledges support for Makinde

A one-time Accord Party House of Assembly candidate, Dr. (Mrs) Oyerinde has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr Bayo Lawal.

In a courtesy visit alongside her husband, Pastor Tunde Oyerinde of Anglican Communion— Molete, she described Bayo Lawal as an epitome of leadership, adding that she’s fully committed to the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde in 2023.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I want to specially congratulate you on your new position as the deputy governor of our dear State.

“Without mincing words, you are deserving of your new role as second-in-command and I have no doubt of your capacity and tenacity to deliver exceedingly.

The former Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency’s aspirant also noted that her defection from Accord Party to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is to support Barr. Bayo Lawal’s aspiration.

“You have been such a father figure and my defection to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is not unconnected to my belief towards your aspiration since you joined partisan politics”.

In his remarks, Pastor Oyerinde commended the wife of Oyo Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Ajibola Lawal, for being there during the thin and thick of life. He urged her to continue to support her husband in prayers.
