PDP govs, Atiku in closed door meeting after Tinubu’s victory

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is currently having a meeting with governors of the party in Abuja.

The meeting started shortly after the announcement of the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

There have been speculations that the meeting was connected with the choice of the vice presidential candidate of Atiku Abubakar.

Many others have raised speculations that the meeting was connected with the victory of Tinubu and how to usurp power from the APC in 2023.

In the meeting were Governor of Bayelsa State, Douyi Diri, Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Muhammed, Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and Governor of Benue, Samuel Ortom.

Others are Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal and Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
