I wear my zero votes with confidence, refuse to play politics with my ambition – Pastor Tunde Bakare

Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, on Sunday revealed the reason he gathered zero votes at the national convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The presidential aspirant of APC disclosed that he has got zero votes at the presidential convention of the party due to his stance not to compromise on his values.

He revealed that he has got zero votes because he refused to play some kinds of politics.

The pastor made this revelation while speaking to his members on the topic “A New Nigeria is possible.”

He begged Nigerians to support the presidential candidate of the party, to enable the transformation of the country.

According to Bakare: “Our heads remain unbowed because we did not compromise on the values that are integral to building a New Nigeria.

“For us, the means has always been as important as the end. This is why we confidently wear our “zero votes” as a badge of “zero tolerance for a certain kind of politics.

“This is not the work of just one man or woman or just one party, but the calling upon every Nigerian worthy of the name.”

MOUTHPIECE NGR had reported that Pastor Tunde Bakare, a presidential aspirant of the APC has got zero votes in the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

Unlike some of his colleagues who were also aspiring for the highest political seat, the pastor did not travel around to meet and consult with party delegates and stakeholders in their various states.

He obtained the N100m presidential forms, boasted that he would win the presidential ticket of the party, and become the 16th president of Nigeria.

The cleric has said God had promised him that he would succeed President Buhari in 2023.

But, the former vice presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) did not even get one vote in the presidential contest, which took place at the Eagles Square, Abuja, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, leaving his dream unfulfilled.
