BREAKING: Akin Alabi confirms Oyo House of Reps defection to APC 

Report reaching Mouthpiece NGR news room says the lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency, Hon. Ajibola Muraina has finally dumped the People’s Democratic Party for All Progressives Congress. 

The lawmaker’s defection was disclosed by Akin Alabi, the House of Reps member representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and a member of the ruling APC in a tweet monitored by Mouthpiece NGR on Sunday, April 17.

He tweeted “After dumping the PDP, we welcome the former House Committee on Petroleum (Upstream), Hon. Muraina Ajibola to the APC in Oyo State.”

Ajibola was said to have joined the APC following his failed bid to get the party’s ticket to return to the House in 2023. 

It was learnt that the ruling APC has assured the lawmaker of the ticket to return to the House in the next general elections.

Meanwhile, efforts to confirm this development from his spokesman, Bunmi Sodipo, proved abortive as several calls and text were unreturned. 

At the time of filling this report, no official statement has been made by Hon. Ajibola Muraina.
