Group Vows to Drag Jibril Abu to Court If He Fails to Contest

A group of Ajaokuta Youths called Operation Redeem Ajaokuta Lost Glory (ORALG), has threatened to drag to court the DG protocol to Kogi State Deputy Governor, Hon. Jibril Abu, if he refused to contest for the 2023 Ajaokuta House of Assembly.

The President of the group, Mallam Muhammed Abdulmutolib m said in an interview with journalists that the reason why Ajaokuta youths have to take him to court if he failed to constest was that, suffering in Ajaokuta and lack of quality representation was enough and they know Hon. Jibri Abu’s capacity and strategy for a positive change and representation will bring back our Ajaokuta lost glory.

”We know his capacity to change the scenario, his capacity to change things from negative to positive.“

Ajaokuta Youths from across the LG had converged in Abuja on Monday the 28th of February 2022, under the aegis of Operation Redeem Ajaokuta Lost Glory (ORALG ), to flag of sensitization of the electorate to the continuous voter registration ( CVR).

Comrade Abdullahi Ogejah A.K.A ABOY said their aim was to boost the support base of Hon. Jibri Abu (Wisdom Bank).

We need to let the youths of Ajaokuta realize that when you need good governance, and you did not participate in the registration of those who will choose a good leader, this is totally zero. “If there must be positive changes that we are all talking about, it’s already identifying the good among the bad among us, in the person of Hon. Jibril Abu (Wisdom Bank)“

”We are not adopting Hon. Jibril Abu (Wisdom Bank) because he is a Muslim, Christian, Ebira or Igala. We adopted him because he is a leader and a youthful fellow that has the youths at heart, his human relationship experience, his vocality, ability and agility for world class and quality Representation… we adopted him based on that and there is nothing.”

Hajiya Usman Maryam Baba urged women and youths of Ajaokuta to register and be active participants in the political process, come 2023, so the dream electing an active representative that will not only stand for supporting a cogent motion but also move a motion that will touch the life of our youths, the poor and less privileges positively.

She, therefore, advocated that all hands should be on deck to ensure that the youth who have reached the voting age, register and elect a good leader in 2023.” If Ajaokuta must be great, we must all take a bold step to make it great, she added.

Comrade Ahmed Rufai
