Ogbomoso zone: Mulikat can’t replace Akala by antagonizing Makinde— APC Chieftain

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State and former Chief of Staff to late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Professor Gbade Ojo on Sunday disclosed that Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola cannot step into the shoes left behind in Ogbomoso by late Governor Adebayo Alao Akala by antagonizing a sitting governor from her party.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that he stated this while featuring on a radio programme in Ibadan.

The APC Chieftain was asked by the presenter who he thinks would replace Akala as a rallying figure with cult followers in Ogbomoso.

Gbade said ” Ladoke Akintola was replaced by late Governor Akala as a leader in Ogbomoso. As it is now, Senator Ayo Adeseun and Senator Fatai Buhari are the two prominent leaders that are capable of replacing the former governor.”

When asked about Hon Mulikat Akande, Gabde said, “we are not talking about PDP but APC, as for Mulikat, no doubt she has her followers but you can’t be antagonizing your governor and you want to become a leader in your zone, it’s not possible.

”Her followers can not rely sorely on the stipends she gives to them. You must align with your governor to empower you the more.

Mouthpiece NGR recalls that aggrieved members had been at loggerheads with Governor Seyi Makinde since inception of the administration over allegations of neglect.

Mulikat Akande-Adeola, Mogaji Nureni Akanbi, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan, Gbolarumi Hazeem, Femi Babalola, Olopoeyan, Ismaila Ashipa and host of others were among those still in Cold War with the Governor.
