Mammoth crowds as Hon Faozey holds 1st annual lecture, gifts over 3000 constituents Ramadan package

It was a moment of joy on Saturday as people trooped out en masse to grace first annual Ramadan lecture of Hon Faozey Nurudeen Oladotun, Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant.

The event held at Watershed Celebration Center, Old Ife road, Ibadan had in attendance Political stalwarts, Islamic clerics, royal fathers and Muslim faithfuls across the 11 local governments in the Oyo Central senatorial district.

The edition of the 1st Ramadan Lecture themed “Islam and Health” touch on a number of issues affecting Muslims both medically and spiritually.

In his words, the Guest Lecturer, Sheikh AbdulWahid Tijani Adeoye stressed on the importance of Islamic medication as against orthodox medication.

Sheikh Abdulwaheed enjoined muslims to put their trust in Allah, emphasizing that “Quran” is an encyclopedic book that encompasses all things and enough as medication to all illnesses.

The cleric then thanked Hon. Faozey for choosing such topic in addressing issues affecting Islam and Muslim communities.

Addressing Mouthpiece NGR after the lecture, Faozey Head of Media Team, Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye urged other politicians to emulate his boss kindred gesture in touching people’s live and cushioning the effect of economic instability ravaging the whole world as a result of recent Covid-19 pandemic.

He said: “This holy month of Ramadan is one of the time you reach out to people and preach peace amongst everyone regardless of religion, political affiliation and tribe.”

At the event, foods for Iftar were distributed to over 3000 constituents across the 11 local government in Oyo Central senatorial district.

Hon. Foazey was said to have also shared staple foods during inception of Ramadan likewise during Easter festive period.

“He gave JAMB scholarship to over 150 students, Mr Inaolaji told our correspondent.
