Oyo PDP FC endorse Makinde for second term

The Oyo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Federal Constituency has endorsed Governor Oluseyi Makinde for another term in office.

Makinde was endorsed at the enlarged stakeholder’s Meeting of State Political Functionaries, Party Leaders, Local Government Appointees, Local Executive Committee Members and Notable leaders of the Party across Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East & Oyo West of the Constituency held at chief Bisi Ilaka’s House in Oyo.

Mouthpiece NGR gathered that the stakeholders, passed absolute confidence on the leadership and administration of Engineer Seyi Makinde while also commended him for great achievement, on face-lift to Akesan Market and ongoing construction of Gedu-Oroki-Saabo-Ashipa road, Silo Project, Awe-Oyo road, Renovation of Durbar stadium complex and various projects in Oyo Federal Constituency.

The stakeholders equally lauded the State Governor for making LAUTECH the property of Oyo State Government and demand that faculty of Health Science should be located at Oyo.

It was on that premises that the Governor was endorsed for another term in office for his unprecedented records of achievement in Oyo State and particularly Oyo Federal Constituency.

Bisi Ilaka flanked by Oyo PDP Federal Constituency Stakeholders shortly after the endorsement meeting of Engr. Seyi Makinde at His Residence In Oyo.

It was learnt that the stakeholders also endorsed Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, the Chief of Staff to Engr. Seyi Makinde as the leader and Deputy State Chairman of the party, Hon. James Olukunle, as the Chairman of the Federal Constituency.

According to the meeting resolution, Governor Makinde was applauded for considering worthy Sons and daughter of the ancient city to various Political offices in the State, asking for more as Oliver Twist and urged all current Political functionaries to move closer to the grassroot by coming home regularly saying that political apathy can never be cured by Political isolation.

They however call-on the State Government and the Party to adopt Primary election in having candidates for the forthcoming local government election in the State.

Those present at the meeting include Chief Sunday Ogunlade, Hon. Kayode Adio, Chief Wole Akanbi, Chief Bayo Elegbede, Alhaji Ademola Yekeen Santos, Alhaji Siju Salaam, Elder E.O. Oluokun, Hon. (Dr) Akinwande Maruf, Alhaji Bili Onifade, Alhaji. Tunde Agboola, Alhaji. Alade Ganiyu, Alhaji Akano Olubuse, Hon. Wahab Waliu (WABKEM), Alhaji Kareem Raji Gaskia, Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo, Alhaji Atidade Oseni, Alhaji Basiru Adeyanju, Alhaja Tajudeen Romoke, Alhaja Bili Ishola, Hon. (Mrs.) Toyin Abiona and 95 other members.
