Dare Health Foundation celebrates world diabetes day (PHOTOS)

Dare Health Foundation has said that the celebration of world diabetes day (14th November) is to raise awareness of a condition that millions of people around the world live with everyday.

It said this year themed “The nurse and Diabetes” focuses on promoting the role of nurses in the prevention and management of diabetes.

Earlier today, the foundation organized a free medical outreach at Kuto Motor Park, Abeokuta, as part of social responsibility to people.

Free Blood Glucose Test, Blood Pressure and Body Mass Index were carried out. They were educated on the possible ways the risk of 2 diabetes can be reduced which includes and not limited to:

  1. Being physically active
  2. Maintaining a healthy body weight
  3. Eating healthy
  4. Avoiding cigarettes intake and harmful use of alcohol

They listed the above as part of their campaign by creating health awareness to the public and bringing Heath and Charity to the a community.
