Kebbi varsity appoints LAUTECH youngest alumnus as pioneer H.O.D Urban and Regional Planning
The management of Kebbi State University of Science and Technology has appointed a LAUTECH alumnus, Dr. Olanrewaju Samson Olaitan as the pioneer Head of Department, Urban and Regional Planning.
The letter of his appointment was confirmed on Thursday and made available to Mouthpiece NGR.
It was gathered that the new department was established to advance urban planning and develop its professionals in the core northwestern part of Nigeria comprising Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.
Dr. Olanrewaju, who hailed from Eko-ende in Osun State, obtained his B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD Degrees in Urban and Regional Planning from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
He notably completed his Doctorate degree at the age of 30 years, the youngest in the history of Urban Planning Profession in Nigeria.
The Erudite scholar is a Registered Town Planner with the Town Planners Registeration Council of Nigeria, and a member of both Nigeria Institute of Town Planners (NITP) and Nigeria Environmental Society (NES).
