Heavy weight champion, Anthony Joshua prostrates to Buhari in London

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday met with Nigerians living in the United Kingdom in London including the WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, who came to present his belts to him.

Anthony Joshua who greeted President Buhari in a special way by prostrating seize the opportunity to take a selfie with him.

The Anglo-Nigerian born boxer was born to Nigerian parents, who originate from Sagamu in Ogun State.
The 30-year-old recently reclaimed his world heavyweight boxing titles from Mexican boxer, Andy Ruiz Jr, in Saudi Arabia.

At the meeting, the president explained reasons behind border closure while speaking with a group of selected Nigerian professionals in London on Saturday.
President Buhari said the border closure became necessary in order to strengthen Nigeria’s economy through reliance on the nation’s agricultural produce.

“The borders were not closed down to punish Nigerians,” said President Bihari. 
“We need to strengthen our economy. So, we have to close the borders to stop smuggling and criminal elements from entering our country unchecked.”
“When the conditions are right to open the borders, we would do so.”
The President said the move has help to check cases of smuggling and criminality along the the country’s borders.
