PHOTOS: Scandal As INEC Chairman, Yakubu Endorses Buhari, Wears APC Caps
The All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party supporters on Sunday clashed on Twitter and exchanged words about whether or not the Nigerian electoral empire, INEC will be biased in conducting the Saturday, February 16 Presidential poll.
This is coming after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, was spotted on live TV wearing the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign cap which is designed with the party’s logo, broom.
This has generated a mixed reactions whether the INEC Chairman is supporting the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari or not.
According to a tweet by a Twitter user @SweetShantel who shared the pictures on the micro-blogging platform;
“This is INEC Chairman Prof Yakubu wearing Cap with APC’s Broom symbol.
That’s the same Cap Buhari & Co are wearing.*
What this means, is that @inecnigeria has endorsed PMB.*
Prof Yakubu will #BuharRIG Feb 16th Presidential Election cos he’s BIAS therefore he must RESIGN asap!”
