Teachers’ Day: Agboworin Hails Teachers As Nation Builders
The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has congratulated teachers across Nigeria on this year’s World Teachers’ Day.
Agboworin, in a statement on Monday, described teachers as nation builders whose dedication and passion continue to shape future generations.
He said their role goes beyond imparting academic knowledge to building responsible citizens and preparing young people for the future.
“Today, we celebrate the dedication, passion and impact of every teacher. We appreciate your sacrifices and the important role you play in shaping minds, building character and creating a better tomorrow,” he said.
The Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, stressed the need for greater recognition and support for teachers, noting that a strong education system depends on motivated and well-supported educators.
“Investing in teachers is an investment in the future of Nigeria. Better teachers will produce brighter futures,” he added.
Agboworin commended teachers in his constituency and across Oyo State for their commitment to mentoring young Nigerians and assured them of his continued support for initiatives that promote quality education and improve learning conditions.
