Ogbomoso North United As APM Inaugurates Canvassers/Mobilizers, Distributes Campaign Materials

Ahead of the 2026 local government elections, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ogbomoso North Local Government has demonstrated unity and preparedness to coast home to victory as it inaugurated canvassers and mobilizers across wards in the council area on Friday.

The inauguration, which was performed by the APM Deputy Governorship candidate, Engr. Open Salawu, and Hon. George Ogunlade, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North, witnessed a large turnout of party faithful in a demonstration of unity and oneness.

During the inauguration, campaign materials were distributed to the canvassers and mobilizers in an exercise coordinated by the APM party chairman, Hon. Jimoh Sikiru and Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Bashiru.

The materials were provided by the chairmanship candidate of the party for Ogbomoso North Local Government, Engr. Rabiu Bello.

While addressing the canvassers and mobilizers, the APM Deputy Governorship candidate, Engr. Open Salawu and Hon. George Ogunlade charged them to be dedicated, disciplined and committed to the task ahead.

They urged them to embark on intensive house-to-house and ward-to-ward campaigns, to engage the electorate with decorum, and to preach the gospel of the APM and its lofty programmes for the people of Ogbomoso North.

Engr. Open Salawu, who announced a donation of N5m, noted that the APM remains the party to beat in the forthcoming local government election, adding that with unity of purpose and collective effort, victory is assured.

He stressed that the party parades credible candidates with proven track records who will bring purposeful leadership and accelerated development to the grassroots if elected.

On his part, Hon. Ogunlade commended the party leadership for the well-coordinated arrangement and applauded the chairmanship candidate, Engr. Rabiu Bello, for providing the campaign materials.

He expressed optimism that Ogbomoso North will deliver massively for APM in the coming polls.

The canvassers and mobilizers, in their response, however, pledged their total loyalty and commitment to work assiduously for the success of the party at all levels.
