Hon. Michael Ajao Joins APM Chairmanship Candidate On Familiarisation Tour, Pledges Inclusive Leadership

Leaders of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area on Tuesday embarked on a familiarisation tour of wards across the council, receiving what party officials described as massive support and enthusiasm from residents.

The tour was led by the party’s Chairmanship Candidate, Engr. Rabiu Bello (Fine Boy), and his running mate, Hon. Ajao Michael Abisoye*, alongside the APM Local Party Chairman, *Hon. Sikiru Idowu, members of the Local Executive Committee, Ward Chairmen, Executives, former Local Government Chairman, *Hon. Hamazat*, and other party leaders.

The campaign train visited Okererin, Jagun, Aje-Ogungbado/Oke-Agbede, Abogunde, and Saja-Isale Ora wards.

According to Hon. Ajao, the turnout and reception from residents reaffirmed that APM remains deeply connected to the grassroots.

“Our visits were truly inspiring. The warmth, massive turnout, enthusiasm and genuine support we received from our people reaffirmed my belief that APM is deeply connected with the grassroots,” he said.

He noted that residents were eager to engage, listen and share their expectations for better representation and responsive leadership.

Speaking after the tour, the Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Ajao, said he remains committed to working with Engr. Bello to build an administration that is inclusive, accessible, accountable and people-centred.

“As Vice Chairmanship Candidate, I remain committed to working alongside our Chairmanship Candidate to build an administration where every ward matters and every voice is respected,” he stated.

He described the tour as more than a political exercise, saying it provided an opportunity to listen, connect, understand and strengthen the bond with the people APM seeks to serve.

Hon. Ajao added that the familiarisation tour would continue in the coming days, with the party moving forward with unity, humility, courage and determination.

“Together, we can build the Ogbomoso North we all desire,” he said.

Party leaders at the various wards urged members to sustain mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2026 local government election, expressing confidence that APM’s message of grassroots development would resonate with voters across Ogbomoso North.
