Terrorists Abduct Kwara Monarch, Oba Onigbesi Of Igbesi, In Overnight Raid

Armed terrorists have abducted the *Oba Onigbesi of Igbesi Land* and several residents during an attack on *Igbesi community in Oke Onigbin, Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State*.

MOUTHPIECE NIGERIA gathered that the attack occurred on *Saturday* when gunmen stormed the community and launched a fierce assault.

A source said the monarch was whisked away to an unknown location after the attackers gained access to the town.

_“Kabiyesi Onigbesi of Igbesi Land has been kidnapped by armed bandits and taken to an unknown bush,”_ a source told _SaharaReporters_.

Another source confirmed that the bandits fled with the monarch and other abducted victims.

_“Bandits stormed the community yesterday (Saturday) in a fierce attack and successfully laid hands on the monarch,”_ the source added.

The abduction has heightened concerns over the worsening security situation in *Kwara South*, where communities have increasingly come under attack by armed terrorists and kidnappers.

As of press time, the exact number of people abducted and whether the attackers had contacted families remained unclear.

The incident follows the abduction of *Iya Ayoka*, the first wife of the Baale of *Dabu community in Ifelodun LGA*, on *Friday night, August 21, 2026*.

Bandits reportedly stormed the community and took the monarch’s wife away.

Residents said the attacks have heightened fear in Kwara South.

In a separate case, sources said bandits are using the TikTok account of another abducted victim, *23-year-old Babatunde Fasilat*, to communicate with the public.

Fasilat was kidnapped on *July 26, 2026* in *Wande community*. According to a source, her father was shot during the attack.

_“Her father was shot and the bullet penetrated the other side of his body. The bandits were four. While her father was trying to defend himself, they went to her room and kidnapped her,”_ the source said.

The abductors are demanding *₦20 million* ransom for Fasilat’s release.
