Makinde’s Grassroots Development Transforming Ibadan North – Rep Oyekunle

The Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for what he described as his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to sustainable infrastructure development across the state.

Oyekunle gave the commendation following the commissioning of the 2-kilometre Bodija International Market Road and the newly completed Fire Station in Ibadan North Local Government, describing the projects as another testament to the Makinde administration’s resolve to improve the lives of the people through purposeful governance.

According to the federal lawmaker, Governor Makinde has consistently prioritised development at the local government level, a policy direction that has given birth to numerous impactful projects across Ibadan North Local Government, with the newly commissioned Bodija International Market Road and Fire Station standing as clear examples of the administration’s commitment to grassroots development.

He noted that the projects would not only ease vehicular movement and boost commercial activities around the Bodija International Market but also strengthen emergency response services and enhance the protection of lives and property within the council area.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has continued to demonstrate that responsive governance is about delivering projects that directly improve the lives of the people. His administration’s commitment to grassroots development has transformed many communities, and today’s commissioning is another remarkable milestone in that journey,” Oyekunle said.

The lawmaker equally applauded the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for providing purposeful leadership and effectively complementing the developmental agenda of the state government.

He described Olufade as a committed grassroots administrator whose dedication to service has continued to attract meaningful development to Ibadan North, noting that the successful execution of the projects reflects the synergy between the state and local government administrations.

Oyekunle reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Oyo State Government and the Ibadan North Local Government to facilitate more developmental projects that will improve the socio-economic well-being of the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency.

He also urged residents to continue supporting the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and the leadership of Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade while ensuring the proper use and maintenance of the newly commissioned facilities for the benefit of present and future generations.
