Ona-Ara LG Chairman, Glorious, Leads Delegation To Celebrate Baba Oyadiran At 91

The Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Dr. Kolapo Temitope Glorious, JP, on Wednesday led political leaders, government officials and party stakeholders on a visit to celebrate elder statesman, Baba Banji Oyadiran, on his 91st birthday.

The surprise visit was described as a tribute to a man whose life has been defined by selfless service and commitment to the growth of Ona-Ara.

Members of the delegation included Hon. Muftau Ogunremi, Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun, Hon. Mosobalaje Bakare, Hon. Nurudeen Akanni, Alfa Kehinde Adeyemo, Hon. Adekola, Supervisory Councillor for Works, councillors, special advisers and other community leaders.

Speaking during the celebration, Hon. Muftau Ogunremi described Baba Oyadiran as one of the foremost political leaders in Ona-Ara. He recalled that he served as the first Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the local government, and commended his decades of dedication as a foundation upon which many leaders have built.

In his remarks, Dr. Glorious praised Baba Oyadiran as a father and mentor who has consistently shown concern for the welfare of the people and the progress of Ona-Ara.

He said honouring elders while they are alive is a noble responsibility, and prayed for God to grant the nonagenarian good health, strength, peace and many more years.

The celebration featured prayers, goodwill messages and reflections as family members, friends and community leaders celebrated the life and legacy of the elder statesman.
