Oyo Deputy Gov Celebrates D’Damark on Birthday, Hails His Service to Islam
Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has felicitated the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji (Dr.) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, popularly known as D’Damark, on his birthday.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Barr. Lawal described the Islamic leader as a committed Muslim and exemplary ambassador of the faith whose dedication to the advancement of Islam continues to inspire across Oyo State, the South-West and beyond.
The Deputy Governor lauded Alhaji Akinola’s decades of service, saying his leadership has promoted religious harmony, unity and strong moral values within the Muslim Ummah.
He also acknowledged the celebrant’s philanthropic work, noting that his generosity has touched lives across religious lines.
“Alhaji Akinola’s humanitarian interventions and selfless service have earned him admiration far beyond the Muslim community. Many, including non-Muslims, have benefited from his kindness,” he stated.
Barr. Lawal however prayed Allah to grant the Aare Musulumi sound health, long life and greater wisdom to keep serving Islam and humanity.
