The Amorin of Akinmorin, Oba Solomon Iyiola Olayemi, who is the chairman of royal fathers in Afijio local government area, has lauded the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency, OYSROMA, Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, for his efforts in facilitating the newly approved construction of the 4-kilometre Idi-Igba-Akinmorin Road in Ilora, Afijio Local Government Area.

He also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the approval, describing the project as another demonstration of the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and grassroots transformation.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, Oba Solomon Iyiola Olayemi, said OYSROMA chairman, Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, a proud son of Afijio, has written his name in gold by ensuring the approval of the project after many years of agitation by indigenes of Afijio local government.

Describing the project as another demonstration of the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development across the state, the royal father noted that the road will link Afijio constituency 1 and 2, allowing travel between them without passing through the long journey of Oyo town once completed.

While stating that the project’s approval will improve connectivity within the affected communities, stimulate socio-economic activities, enhance the movement of people and goods, and improve the livelihoods of residents, the Amorin of Akinmorin expressed optimism in OYSROMA’s capacity, under Ogunlade’s supervision, to deliver a quality road project on time.

“Hon. Ogunlade has indeed proven that he’s a pride of Oyo town. He has written his name in gold with this facilitation, and we are very grateful for his efforts and for securing the approval of Governor Seyi Makinde before the expiration of his tenure for the construction of the 4-kilometre Idi-Igba-Akinmorin Road in Ilora, Afijio local government area. We will never forget this,” the royal father stated.

Oba Olayemi also expressed appreciation to Governor Makinde for prioritizing critical road infrastructure, saying the project would improve transportation, enhance commercial activities, and positively impact residents’ livelihoods.

He applauded the governor’s continued investment in infrastructure across the state, noting that the construction would ease movement, boost economic activities, and improve access to social and commercial centers.

He expressed his continuous support for the governor’s developmental agenda while pledging continued collaboration with the government in improving the welfare and living standards of the people of Afijio constituency 1 and 2, and Oyo town at large.
