Sam Larry Makes First Public Appearance After Surviving Car Crash
Nigerian socialite and music promoter, Samson Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, has made his first public appearance after surviving a recent auto crash.
A trending video circulating on social media on Saturday showed Sam Larry celebrating with associates. He appeared alert and in stable condition.
The video has since attracted thousands of reactions, with many users expressing relief over his recovery.
The appearance comes days after unverified reports flooded social media claiming the promoter had died in a road accident.
His public outing is expected to put to rest speculation surrounding his condition.
According to reports, his associate, Akin Abolade, aka Mr Lilgaga, had earlier debunked the death rumours.
Speaking to newsmen days after the crash, Lilgaga said: “Yes, he’s alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was. We spoke after the accident. He’s alive, and I’m sure of that.”
Sam Larry has remained a controversial figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, particularly following the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, in September 2023.
He came under intense public scrutiny after videos emerged showing confrontations involving the late singer before his death.
The backlash prompted calls for an investigation, and he was subsequently questioned by police as part of the probe.
Although his name featured prominently in public discussions, investigators said the inquiry would be guided by available evidence. Sam Larry has consistently denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
