APM Leaders in Ibadan South East Declare Support for Makinde, Endorse Adekanmbi for 2027

The leadership of the Allied People’s Movement, APM, in Ibadan South East Local Government Area has declared support for Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and endorsed the party’s 2027 governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi. 

The declaration was made Friday at an APEX meeting of the party held at the Ibadan South East Local Government Secretariat in Mapo. 

Leaders and stakeholders at the meeting said Makinde had performed well in the local government and across the state through various infrastructural projects with direct impact on residents. 

They said the governor had demonstrated strong leadership that has produced significant progress across different sectors. 

“The governor has done well for us in Ibadan South East and in Oyo State. He has transformed the state and implemented legacy projects that will outlive this generation,” the communique read. 

“We have no other obligation than to affirm our loyalty to him and to continue to support his administration. All leaders and stakeholders of APM in Ibadan South East will support him. We will also support his aspiration to become President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.” 

The stakeholders also pledged support for Adekanmbi and promised to mobilize party members and voters for his success in the 2027 general elections. 

Those in attendance included Hon. Dare Adeleke, leader; Hon. Kunmi Adedina; Prof. Dahood Sangodoyin, Commissioner for Energy; Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, member representing Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency; Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, Chairman, Oyo State Local Government Pension Board; Hon. Oluwole Alawode, Chairman, Ibadan South East LGA; and Hon. Abiodun Adedoja, Special Adviser to the governor on Energy Security. 

Others were Alhaji Yusuf Ali Temitope, Full-time Commissioner, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission; Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande, Ibadan South East Constituency 1; Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Ibadan South East Constituency 2; Engr. Sulaiman Adesina, immediate past PDP chairman; and Hon. Olajide Oluwole, PDP chairman, Ibadan South East LGA.
