Oyo Deputy Gov Mourns Coach Kenny, Hails Legacy of Service to Sakiland

Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hon. Kehinde Adewuyi Adetola, popularly known as Coach Kenny, describing him as a patriot and dedicated servant of humanity whose work advanced Sakiland’s development.

In a statement on Saturday, Barr. Lawal said the news of Coach Kenny’s passing came as a “rude shock” and was received with deep sadness.

He noted that Coach Kenny left behind a remarkable legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to youth development.

The Deputy Governor also described the late community leader as a distinguished sports administrator whose passion for grooming young talent and promoting physical fitness impacted countless lives in Sakiland and beyond.

He said: “Much of his life was devoted to mentoring young people and encouraging healthy living among residents, earning him widespread admiration and respect across all segments of society”.

He added that Coach Kenny’s commitment to public service and human development set him apart as a respected figure whose influence extended beyond the sporting community.

The deputy governor further extended his condolences to His Royal Majesty, the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, the family of the deceased, and the sporting community.

He offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Coach Kenny’s soul and encouraged those mourning to draw strength from his lasting legacy of service and excellence.
