*JUST IN: Suspected Bandits Attack Esiele Community in Oyo, Teacher Killed, Principal and Others Abducted*

Suspected bandits have attacked Esiele community in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, leaving one teacher dead and several others, including the school principal, abducted.

According to information obtained by Mouthpiece NGR, the attack occurred in Esiele, a community located about 15km from Ikoyi-Ile and along the route to Yawota in Oriire LGA.

Local sources said the assailants invaded the area and opened fire before whisking away the principal and several teachers to an unknown destination. One teacher was reportedly killed during the incident.

Security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the attack as of the time of filing this report.

Esiele lies on the outskirts of Ikoyi-Ile and has been described by residents as a quiet farming community. The latest incident has heightened concerns over rising insecurity in parts of Oyo State.
