LAUTECH Don, Olabiyisi to Receive Nigeria Computer Society’s Highest Fellowship at NITMA 2025 Thursday 

The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has announced that Professor Tunde Olabiyisi will be conferred with the Fellowship of the Nigeria Computer Society – the highest professional grade in the nation’s computing community. 

The ceremony will take place during the National Information Technology Merit Award (NITMA) on Thursday, 20 November 2025 at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

According to NCS, the Fellowship is reserved for members who have demonstrated exceptional expertise, leadership and impact in computing. It is awarded only to individuals with proven authority, deep professional practice and significant contributions to the advancement of Information Technology (IT) in Nigeria.

Professor Olabiyisi, a respected academic, researcher and technology advocate, has earned recognition for his extensive work in computer‑science education, digital innovation and capacity‑building within the IT ecosystem. His scholarly contributions and mentorship have shaped numerous professionals in the industry, reinforcing his status as a pillar of the computing community.

The NITMA Awards – NCS’s annual flagship event – celebrate outstanding individuals and organisations that have made notable strides in IT. Each year, innovators, researchers, corporate institutions and public‑sector champions are honoured for their dedication to technological growth and national development.
